Ingredients 2 cups Maida flour salt water oil for frying almonds (powdered)
Sugar Syrup Sugar 2 cups Water 1.5 cups cardamom 2 saffron couple of strands Boil them all together for nearly 15 minutes. Dip your index finger and thumb into the sugar syrup, if you able to form a single thread of sugar syrup when you stretch the sugar syrup, it is done.
Knead the flour, water, salt together to form a dough, then keep it aside for 15 minutes. Keep the sugar syrup ready and allow it to cool down. Take a small lemon sized dough and roll it into a small round shape figure, then fold it couple of times to form a triangle shape and roll it a little again. Have the oil heated and ready to use, fry each one and place in a vessel until it becomes crispy. Once it is crispy, dip it in sugar syrup and sprinke almond powder on it and it is ready to be served.
